Miné.K is a visual storyteller whose practice explores the “meaning of meaninglessness” through character-driven narratives. At the center of her artistic world is NOBODY, a yellow bear character that embodies questions of absence and presence, longing and emotional vulnerability. Familiar in appearance yet layered with symbolic meaning, NOBODY is always smiling while carrying the weight of a pearl necklace, becoming a metaphor for a figure who is simultaneously no one and everyone.
Alongside NOBODY, Miné.K creates characters such as the Child and the Monster, each reflecting different personas, memories, and fragments of her inner world. Everyday objects including flowers, parties, gifts, and factories are transformed into symbolic elements through which personal experiences expand into universal emotions. Her practice extends beyond painting into exhibitions, video, digital art, publications, design objects, and collaborative projects, building a distinctive visual universe that combines philosophical inquiry with accessible imagery. Through her work, Miné.K invites viewers to confront their own sense of absence, desire, vulnerability, and identity, leaving each work as both a personal confession and an open question.
미네(Miné.K) 작가는 캐릭터를 중심으로 한 서사를 통해 **‘무의미의 의미’**를 탐구하는 비주얼 스토리텔러입니다. 작가의 작품 세계를 대표하는 노란 곰 캐릭터 **‘노바디(NOBODY)’**는 친숙한 테디베어의 형상 안에 결핍과 갈망, 존재와 부재에 대한 질문을 담고 있습니다. 늘 미소 짓고 있지만 진주 목걸이의 무게를 감내하고 있는 노바디는 누구도 아닌 동시에 누구나 될 수 있는 존재를 상징합니다.
미네 작가는 노바디를 비롯해 아이, 몬스터 등 자신의 다양한 페르소나와 기억, 내면의 파편을 반영한 캐릭터들을 창조합니다. 꽃, 파티, 선물, 공장과 같은 일상적인 소재들은 작품 속에서 새로운 상징으로 변주되며, 작가의 개인적인 경험은 관객 각자의 기억과 감정으로 확장됩니다. 회화를 비롯해 전시, 영상, 디지털 아트, 출판, 디자인 오브제와 다양한 협업 프로젝트로 작업 영역을 확장하며, 철학적 메시지와 대중적인 시각 언어가 결합된 독창적인 세계관을 구축하고 있습니다. 미네의 작품은 작가 자신의 고백인 동시에, 관객이 자신의 결핍과 욕망, 정체성에 대해 스스로 답을 찾아가도록 남겨둔 열린 질문입니다.
