I am a Brooklyn-based artist who works with photography, wood working and sculpture. My personal experiences have deeply influences my art practice and led me to explore the vulnerability and fragility of human. Through my practice, I visualize the fragility that I find. I make it tangible in order to confront it.

Simultaneously my instinct to withhold my weakness manifests in my works as shielded, veiled, fragmented, and distorted images which I achieved through stitching and sculpting. My current body of work lies in the illusion of three dimensionality of layered organza, which allows for topographical perspective on fragility. My work is a combination of my acceptance and resistance to my own vulnerability.

My strategy in using the organza to veil the images is not just a psychological strategy, but also an innovative growth in my approach to photography. I have found new and fresher ways to communicate through my art, particularly by stretching the boundaries of the two-dimensional form of photography and integrating I with the three dimensional possibilities of sculpture. I am constantly exploring the limits of my mediums to create new possibilities and push the boundaries of traditional mediums.
