Soonah Kim is a Korean artist whose practice spans both traditional painting and contemporary digital media. She holds degrees from Hongik University, Maryland Institute College of Art, and the School of Visual Arts in New York, where she earned a second MFA in Computer Art. Her work reflects a deep interest in structure, texture, and the emotional resonance of material surfaces.
In Parted, Kim uses delicate grid-like marks and flowing drips to explore themes of division, erosion, and memory. The painting’s layered, almost topographic surface invites viewers to reflect on the quiet beauty.
