Sophie Oh is a Korean artist known for her richly layered mixed media works that explore philosophical and natural themes. Holding degrees from Hongik University and NYU, she has held 17 solo exhibitions, including two in the U.S., one in Paris, one in Switzerland, and thirteen in Korea, and has participated in over 160 group shows across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Her work is included in prestigious collections such as Weill Cornell Center (USA), La Croix Hotel (Hawaii), and several universities. Her piece The Sublimity of The Life Cycle reflects on the elegance and inevitability of nature’s rhythms. Combining abstract forms, symbolic imagery, and vibrant texture, the work contemplates transformation, decay, and renewal, reminding us that beauty can be found even in the impermanence of life.
