Fiesta 1, 2025_ 16 x20” Porcelain, glaze, gold displayed in an acrylic case
FIESTAR 1 brings together small porcelain vessels of varying forms and proportions to create a unified landscape. Rooted in the tradition of Korean white porcelain and the moon jar, each vessel retains its own distinct character. Gold accents illuminate the restrained white surfaces, creating a dialogue between serenity and festivity, tradition and contemporaneity, simplicity and splendor. Though individually distinct, the vessels come together to evoke relationships, shared memories, and the passage of time. Here, “fiesta” is not simply a grand celebration, but a quiet celebration of life formed through the gathering of different beings, experiences, and moments.
